FIRE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Monroe County distributed all new 800 MHz pagers to Ottawa Lake and Whiteford Center Fire Stations. The pagers went in to service at the end of June 2021. Due to this new paging system, the fire sirens will now be activated 24/7. Previously they were not sounded after 10 pm. Once all the bugs are worked out of this system, we will revisit how often and when the sirens are activated.
Smoke alarms and trigger locks are available through the Whiteford Township Fire Department.
